We’d had lots to celebrate this year at The Private Dental Centre. Here’s a snapshot of some of our highlights!
Our 20th Anniversary!
This year, we celebrated 20 years since Kenny, and his wife Jude, converted part of their family home into a dental surgery and welcomed the first patient through the doors.
As a thank you, Kenny hand-delivered Cornish cream tea hampers to the first 20 patients he treated and then hosted a party for the entire team to celebrate this incredible milestone.
A huge thank you to our wonderful patients for their support over the years and to our team at The Private Dental Centre, without whom this would not have been possible.
We've Invested in our Future
Over the past 12 months, the practice has undergone a period of transformation where we have invested heavily in the building and the technology we use in your dental care.
We’ve installed brand new window and doors, a brand-new surgery and dedicated decontamination rooms to support our high standards of cross-infection control.
Continual improvements to the business ensure our patients can be safe in the knowledge that our dental care is unrivaled whilst the practice itself is clean, smart and homely.
These additions have also allowed us to expand the business and take on new patients!

Community
As a business in Boston, supporting our local community is still an important part of our ethos.
In May, for part of National Smile Month, Kenny visited several businesses in the area to discuss the benefits of having good oral health and the value of a healthy smile.
More recently, in November, the team pitched up on Boston Market to offer free mouth cancer screenings to members of the public in line with Mouth Cancer Action Month from the Oral Health Foundation. Dentists Kenny and Simon and therapist Beth successfully screened over 40 patients and gave advice to many more.
The Private Dental Centre also sponsored the beginner category in this years’ Boston Strongman competition and Kenny went along to present the prize!

Charitable Initiatives
In October, the team swapped their latex gloves for oven gloves and produced a delicious array of cakes, cookies, traybakes and loaves for our annual Macmillan coffee morning held in our gazebo outside the front of the practice. Despite an initial downpour of rain, many patients came to support us, and we raised close to £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
In November, we partnered with Boston charity, Local Hope to donate care bag to patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment at the Pilgrim Hospital for every new patient we registered during the month. Watch our socials to see how many we managed to donate soon!

Team Achievements
2024 has seen some fantastic professional and personal achievements for our team;
In July, Dr Kelly Chambers visited Malawi with the charity, Dentaid to provide dental care and advice to people in the poorest and remotest communities, which was a humbling yet rewarding experience.
Kenny, Nicola, Beth, Kelly, Lucy and Nikki (from our Long Sutton practice) along with partners and husbands took part in the Pretty Mudder at Burghley House to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Dental nurse Louise and her team won the women’s triples at the Aviva National Bowls Championships.
Dental nurses Emma and Courtney recently passed their radiography exams which allows them to be able to take x-rays for our patients.
Dental nurse Nicola also celebrated 18 years being part of The Private Dental Centre team!

Facial Aesthetics
This year, we have introduced some new facial rejuvenation treatments to our patients, including wrinkle reduction treatments and dermal fillers.
We held our first facial aesthetics evening at the practice where Dr. Kelly Chambers gave a presentation about the treatments and why we advocate for choosing a medical professional to administer these procedures. She also gave a demonstration of a line and wrinkle reduction and lip enhancement treatment while guests enjoyed prosecco and nibbles.

Finally, Our trainee nurse Ellie has passed her dental nurse exam in November and has completed all her coursework. Well done Ellie!

In summary...
Thank you to all our patients for your continued support.
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
The Private Dental Centre team.
